Gossips have been swirling around the Blackberry Blackpad. The Blackberry Developer Conference, otherwise referred to as DevCon, is the focus. The announcement is expected to be made today. Today’s keynote speech might contain a preview of the machine. Either way, the Blackpad is sure for making some waves.
RIM’s business strategy using the Blackpad
RIM is a company with several major challenges in front of it. The Blackberry was originally intended and intended for business and government use. Though that niche is relatively small, Blackberry and RIM did very well serving it. Blackberry phones became very popular with consumers. Though it was not intended, consumers simply loved the devices. Consumer friendliness does not always match well with high performance and high security. Apple products were the first major rival for Blackberry. More and more often, though, consumers are choosing Android and Apple products over Blackberries.
The main points of RIM’s Blackpad
The Blackpad is, in short, an iPad competitor. A tablet computer with touch-based interface. DevCon 2010 may see the Blackpad discussed. A real Blackpad to play with, though, probably definitely won’t be ready. Though they don’t have one ready, RIM will still talk about the Blackpad. Generalities and deadlines could well be announced. The screen will be on-level with the iPad, at 7 inches. For video conferencing use, Blackpad will include two cameras — one on the front and one on the back. The biggest news is that Blackberry is developing a new operating system just for the Blackpad. RIM has not yet announced the price of the Blackpad, leaving some to wonder if it will require a fax-less payday loan.
Who is the Blackpad for?
Though everyday consumers provide a large consumer base for the Blackpad, RIM remains a business-based company. All customers will be the prospective of this Blackpad, though the security and high-functions can be maintained. The biggest benefit is that the Blackpad could possibly be released as a stand-alone system or on one of the four cellular networks that Blackberry already uses. . There could be many other competitors to the Blackpad, using the Galaxy Pad by Samsung, also as the WePad.
